Volunteering in Glacier National Park as Wilderness Patrol
Debo Powers serves her community in many ways. One way is by volunteering for Glacier National Park (the western part of GNP is in House District 3) as Wilderness Patrol. Debo wears a uniform, carries a radio and first aide kit, and talks to hundreds visitors in the backcountry. Besides providing information and preventing violations, Debo offers electrolytes and salty snacks to hikers who are struggling on the trails on hot, sunny days. This is often called preventative Search & Rescue.
Large Crowd at Interlocal Meeting
Sondreson Hall was packed for the Summer Interlocal meeting led by Debo Powers and hosted by the North Fork Preservation Association. The Interlocal meeting helps to facilitate communication between North Fork landowners and the various agencies who manage the public land in the North Fork. 97% of the North Fork is public land. Updates were presented by Glacier National Park, Flathead National Forest, Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, Montana DNRC, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and others.
4th of July Parade in Polebridge!
Supporters of DEBO POWERS walked in the 4th of July Parade in Polebridge. The float consisted of a campaign banner, the Powers-Mobile with Debo, “Grizzly Bears” giving high-fives and hugs to children watching the parade, a large wolf-hound named Montana wearing a campaign t-shirt, and supporters carrying signs like “Veterans for Debo” and “Powers Up” and “Grizzlies for Debo.”

Debo Powers won the Democratic Primary with 73% of the vote! Onward to the General Election!

GOTV (Get Out The Vote) Party for Debo Powers at Home Ranch Bottoms Cafe near Polebridge. The party was last Saturday. There was even a grizzly bear on stage asking for campaign donations!

The Powers for the People Team biked on the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park! A new way to meet voters and publicize the campaign!
