Big Sky Victory Rally!

A large crowd enjoyed the Big Sky Victory Rally in Kalispell with excellent state-wide candidates: Senator Jon Tester, Monica Tranel, Ryan Busse, Raph Graybill, Shannon O’Brien, Ben Alke, John Repke, and Erin Farris-Olsen! Legislative candidates also joined them on the stage.

Montana Farmers Union supports family farming!

The Montana Farmers Union conference was held in Whitefish.  I attended to learn about issues facing family farmers.  My grandparents were members of the Farmers Union in North Dakota and my cousins still farm the land that my great-grandparents homesteaded.  My grandmother taught me Farmers Union songs when I was a little girl.  I felt like I was returning to my roots when I attended this conference.  Senator Jon Tester, the only working farmer in the U.S. Senate, spoke at the conference about the Farm Bill.

Women Can Change the World!

We need many more women leaders who have the energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and passion to envision a better world……and are called to spend their lives working to make it happen.

I Trust Women!

Happy Women at the C-128 Rally!

I trust women to make their own healthcare decisions without government interference.  If we don’t have body autonomy, we are not truly free.  Join me in voting for C-128.

Debo Powers at Home in House District 3

The Flathead Beacon published an article today outlining the differences between the candidates running for the newly drawn House District 3.  While Debo spoke to a reporter and had her picture taken, her opponent declined the interview.  Nevertheless, the Beacon made an effort to give a balanced picture of the candidates and what they stand for.

Serving her community as a volunteer Fire Lookout

Debo Powers has spent her life in community service.  One way that she continues to serve is as a volunteer fire lookout in Flathead National Forest each summer.  Everyone in House District 3 lives in the WUI (Wildland Urban Interface) and is vulnerable to wildfire. Fire mitigation, early detection, and prevention are very important to Debo and her constituents.
